Strandberg Guitars has announced the release of the Boden JC 5 and JC 6 Djesse Limited Edition models, a special collaboration with the acclaimed artist Jacob Collier. These unique guitars showcase the seamless integration of Collier’s innovative musical ideas with .strandberg*’s renowned craftsmanship. The JC 5 stands out as the brand’s first-ever 5-string guitar, featuring a distinctive DAEAD tuning that offers new creative possibilities for chord voicings and fingerstyle techniques. Meanwhile, the JC 6 adheres to the standard EADGBE tuning. Both models are highlighted by neck-thru construction, striking multi-colored Strandberg EGS Rev7 hardware, and bold blue Lace Alumitone pickups, all encased in a vibrant yellow satin acrylic finish. Limited production runs make these models highly collectible, with new batches being released through exclusive drops.

Designed with both aesthetics and playability in mind, the Boden JC series includes a chambered basswood body with a solid maple top, and ergonomic arm and torso carves for enhanced comfort. The neck-thru-body design uses roasted maple, reinforced with carbon fiber, and shaped into the ergonomic EndurNeck profile, which promotes optimal hand positioning and minimizes playing fatigue. The guitars also feature an ebonol fretboard with a 20” radius and 24 stainless steel frets, complete with Original Luminlay side dots and inlays for excellent visibility. The inclusion of Lace Alumitone humbuckers provides a versatile sound, making these guitars suitable for a wide range of musical genres.
